Why Give
The Marshall County Community Foundation (MCCF) supports new and existing programs of nonprofit organizations and other charitable causes through endowment philanthropy. An endowment is a permanent fund that is set aside for a particular charitable purpose. An endowment fund is designed to provide charitable benefits both now and in the future through careful investment and wise spending each year.
MCCF is a place where donors of all means can make a positive difference and be assured that every amount contibuted will count for the maximum good. Donors have many fund choices available, and we work with them to make sure their charitable interests are met. One such fund option is the general endowment of the Foundation, where gifts generate additional dollars to help meet the ever-changing needs of Marshall County.
There are many reasons to consider in giving:
- Community Mindedness
- Simplicity
- Flexibility
- Permanence and Continuity
Existing funds at MCCF represent a wide variety of ideas and interests of individual and corporate donors who have united with the common purpose of creating stronger communitites. Thus, the Internal Revenue Service has classified MCCF as a public charity and contributions to MCCF receive the most favorable tax treatment the law provides for charitable gifts.
