Investing in the Scholars of Marshall County
Marshall County Community Foundation administers a number of scholarships, from traditional awards for graduating seniors to those geared towards current students, professionals, and other special circumstances.
Each scholarship has its own application guidelines, deadlines, and application process, so please be sure to read the instructions of the scholarship you’re applying for carefully.
Knox High School Scholarships
We administer a number of scholarships, which range from the traditional academic and athletic awards to corporate and special circumstances offerings.
Applying for a scholarship is free, so we invite you to spend some time finding opportunities for which you are a good fit. You can learn more about each scholarship by clicking on each of the below scholarship titles.
Scholarship applications through the Marshall County Community Foundation will open Monday, December 1, 2025 and will close on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
Roger Laramore Memorial Scholarship
- The purpose of this fund is to provide an annual scholarship to a Knox High School senior.
- The applicant must have:
- Attended Knox High School for at least two complete years
- Rank academically in the upper 35% of the graduating class
- Reside in Washington, California, or Center Townships of Starke County
- Be of good repute and character
- Have some financial need
- In selection, the quality of the following factors shall be considered:
- High school academic program
- School activities
- Community activities and services
- Part-time employment after school or during summers.
- Other factors being equal, preference shall be given to applicants planning to teach in public schools and/or planning to attend a state university or college.
- If you are a Knox High School student, apply for this scholarship through Argos Dollars for Scholars.
- This scholarship opens January 1, 2025 and will close on April 11, 2025.
Tony Ross Memorial Scholarship
- The annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are residents or are attending schools in either Marshall County, Indiana or Starke County, Indiana who are pursuing a career in broadcasting.
- This scholarship may be renewable to previous recipients.
3 C's Scholarship
- The purpose of the fund is to provide at least one scholarship to a senior from Bremen High School and at least one scholarship to a senior from an Indiana High School located within a forty mile radius of Bremen.
- If funds are available, a total of three $1,000.00 scholarships will be awarded each year. The scholarships are non-renewable.
- The applicant must be:
- A graduating senior from a public or private school during the current year
- Be active in the school/community
- Have a minimum GPA equivalent to a 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale.
- Have completed six athletic seasons during high school as an athlete, trainer, manager, cheerleader, etc.
- Applicant must complete a scholarship application, submit an essay, and provide references and an official high school transcript.
